Many of you have been working on honing your cyclocross skills, our Thursday night skills clinic has been great! However, now is also the time to be working on your cyclocross fitness. Think about how you feel after that first 1/4 lap. Do you feel like you have already completely drained your tank? Are you the rabbit or the dog on the chase? How about at the end of the race….are you the windshield or the bug? This is all related to your fitness!
Intervals, intervals, intervals! They are awful, they hurt, the do not feel good….but they are a necessary element of your cyclocross training. If you are not doing intervals, you are already behind!
Come see us on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-6:30 pm where we will be executing vo2 max intervals and tabata intervals. These will hurt, but the physiologic gains you get from the efforts will ultimately take you to the next level in your racing!
Here we are again, folks! Summer is wrapping up nicely and these dog days won’t last long. As many of you know, Luke Demoe and his wife, Senna, have moved on towards their next adventure in life. They are settling nicely into a wonderful little place up in Bellingham, WA. Senna starts teaching at Western Washington University this coming fall term and Luke is now working at a great bike shop called Fanatik Bike Co.
With Evviva is under new managent, and all of us missing Luke dearly, I hope to usher you all into the rapidly approaching fall/winter season as smoothly as possible!
Our fall schedule will be finalized shortly and I will post the update soon. Right now it’s looking like we will have Monday and Thursday classes from 5:30 to 6:30 pm with more classes added on other days as the weather turns and the need arises.

The towel-whipping crazy man is John. He is a regular at the Tuesday/Thursday evening class. I chose this photo for the cover because it represents what Evviva Cycling is all about. FUN! You would not know it from the photo with all the smiles, but these two classes are the toughest we have to offer. Come down and try an evening mid-week ride. You wont be disappointed.

Evviva Cycling has moved! We are back at 964 Charnelton, which is next to Hutch’s Bicycles. Please visit our online scheduler here or on the top of this page. You will need to create a new account. No need to enter any payment info. We have a credit card machine that we can run cards on in-house, so don’t worry about your card number floating around. All members who have existing punches will have credits at the new location. Bring a towel if you want to use the shower. We will transport and continue to store your bikes for $10 monthly fee. As with the punches, your storage fees will transfer. Thank you for the business and putting up with all the moves. Here is a list of the new class times and pricing.
